Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a road worker in operations and maintenance for our establishment in Norrtälje. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your mission as a road worker
If you are interested in maintaining and managing roads, this is the position for you. The work mainly consists of operations and maintenance-related tasks such as minor asphalt repairs, sign work, mowing, and brush clearing during the summer, and snow and ice control during the winter. In addition, we constantly perform road inspections to detect deficiencies and plan and implement measures - all to create safe and secure roads for our citizens. This means that as a road worker at Svevia, you will have summer and winter preparedness in your role.
The position is a full-time parental leave cover based in Norrtälje, starting by agreement. Normal working hours are Mon-Fri 07:00-16:00, with evening and night work possible depending on circumstances. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting.
Who are you?
In our work to develop both our team and operations, you are important to us, which is why we value your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who has the ability to drive and plan their work independently, is engaged, and has the desire to learn and develop within Svevia and the road industry. You value and contribute to a good atmosphere and care about a good working environment and high safety. We believe you have a relevant high school education or equivalent experience in the contracting industry with a focus on operations and maintenance or construction work. A C driver's license and YKB are required for the position. In this role, you will work with digital tools and systems, and we are looking for someone who is accustomed to and comfortable with a digital working method.
Part of something bigger
Svevia is today Sweden's largest operations contractor. In operations and maintenance, we manage summer and winter road maintenance for half of the state road network. Many municipalities, private companies, and road associations hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.
With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for the family heading to the mountains. We ensure that the business community's goods transport reaches its destination and make sure that streets, squares, and parks are clean and tidy. Additionally, we protect lives on the road through our offerings in traffic arrangements.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with steaming asphalt machines, large snow plows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety - both with care for your own working environment and the safety of others.
For those who want to take the next step in development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in your specific area or move on to a supervisory position. Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
